Where is Tymes Cyber located?
Tymes Cyber is at Bushgate in Ruiru, Kiambu County, on the main road immediately next to Ola Petrol Station. Get off at Bushgate stage and you are there. If you cannot find us, call 0717 431 171.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. We are closed on Sunday. If your job is urgent, call before you travel and we will tell you honestly whether it can be finished the same day.
How do I send a document for printing?
Send it on WhatsApp to 0717 431 171. Tell us black and white or colour, how many copies, single or double sided, and whether you want it bound or laminated. We confirm the price, print it, and message you when it is ready to collect.
Can I print from my phone, email or a flash disk?
All three. WhatsApp, email, a USB flash disk, a memory card or straight from your phone by cable — whatever you have with you works.
Do you print in both black and white and colour?
Yes. Grayscale printing for documents and full colour for photos, charts, flyers, certificates and anything that needs to look good, on both A4 and A3.
Do you do bulk printing and photocopying?
Yes, including collating, stapling and binding the finished sets. For large runs, call ahead so we can have paper and toner ready and give you an accurate collection time.
What kinds of binding do you offer?
Spiral, comb and tape binding, with clear front covers and card backing — suitable for school projects, theses, business proposals, tenders, reports and manuals.
What sizes can you laminate?
A4, A3, ID and card size, and business-card size, in matte or gloss. Certificates, photos, menus, price lists and notices are the ones we do most.
Can you scan my documents and email them?
Yes. We scan to PDF and send to your email or WhatsApp, merge several pages into one file, and reduce the file size when an online portal will not accept it.
Do you take passport photos?
Yes. Passport, national ID, visa and application photos are taken and printed here at the correct size and background, usually within a few minutes, and we can send you a digital copy for online forms.
Can you help me with eCitizen services?
Yes. We create the eCitizen account, complete the application with you, make the payment and print the receipt and certificate. This includes KRA, NTSA, good conduct, passports, birth certificates, national IDs, HELB, SHA, NSSF and business registration.
Do I need my own eCitizen account?
Yes, because the account is tied to your ID number. If you do not have one we create it with you, set a password you will remember, and write the details down for you to keep.
Can you file my KRA returns?
Yes — nil returns, employment income returns using your P9, and business or rental income returns. We can also register a new PIN, reset an iTax password and obtain a tax compliance certificate.
Can you help with NTSA and driving licence services?
Yes. TIMS account creation, logbook transfers, duplicate logbooks, smart driving licence applications and renewals, PSV badges, vehicle searches and inspection bookings.
How much do your services cost?
Prices depend on the job — the number of pages, colour or black and white, the type of binding, and for government services the official fee plus our service charge. Call or WhatsApp with the details and we will quote you before you commit to anything.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash and M-Pesa. For government services, the official fee is paid to the government through eCitizen and you keep the receipt; our service charge is separate and quoted up front.
Do you write CVs?
Yes. We write, rewrite, format and print CVs and cover letters, and email you the Word and PDF copies so you can apply from your phone the same evening.
Can you design business cards, flyers and invitation cards?
Yes. We design them, show you a proof on screen, make the changes you want and only then print — so nobody pays for a batch with the wrong phone number on it.
Is my personal information safe with you?
Yes. IDs, certificates, medical and bank documents are printed or scanned, handed back to you and cleared from the machine. We do not keep copies and we do not discuss anyone's business.
Do you serve areas outside Ruiru town?
We serve everyone. Customers come to us from Bushgate, Kamakis, Mugutha, Kimbo, Gitothua, Biashara, Kwihota, Murera, Membley, Kahawa Sukari, Kahawa Wendani, Githurai, Juja and the estates along the Eastern Bypass. For printing, distance does not matter at all — send the file on WhatsApp.
